Both offers appear late in the journey, but the shopper’s mood is different on each page.
On the cart page
Shoppers on the cart page are still reviewing. This is the right moment to complete the order with an accessory or a refill.
At checkout
At checkout the shopper has decided. Keep the offer to one small, relevant product with a clear price, and make it easy to say no.
- Cart: a short list of add-ons.
- Checkout: one item, one decision.
- Both: never invent a discount.
Run both, but make sure the same product never appears twice on the way to payment.
